Coconut carbon particularly suitable for marine water
filtration
Oceanlife Life Carbon is a highly selected, premium quality granular activated
carbon, produced through physical activation of pre-carbonized coconut shells.
It can be used in both marine and freshwater, but its slightly basic pH makes
it perfect for saltwater filtration. It is particularly effective for
continuous removal of organic pollutants (including stinging substances
released by corals), dyes (phenols), pesticides, medications, chlorine
derivatives, and compounds causing bad odors. It complies with UNI ISO EN 12915
"Granular Activated Carbon intended for use in the treatment of water for
human consumption". Rinse with pure freshwater before use.
It can be used in any type of filter (fluidized bed, forced flow, filter sock,
etc.). The best performance is achieved with forced flow, allowing water to
contact the entire surface of the product.
Insert 50-80 ml of product per 100 liters of water into a filter or sock and replace once a month.
