Simple Test: Calcium

Instructions:

• Add 5 ml of aquarium water into the vial.
• Add 10 drops of the CA 1 reagent and shake gently for 10 seconds.
• Add 1 teaspoon of AC reagent 2 and shake gently until complete dissolution.
• (Syringe n.1) Fill the syringe with 1 ml of CA 3 reagent and add slowly. Shake gently. If the solution changes color now, the measured water has less than 250 mg/l of calcium.
• (Syringe n.2) Fill the syringe again with 1 ml of CA 3 reagent and add stirring after each drop. When the solution changes color from purple to blue, read the value of the CA 3 reagent syringe and insert it in the field below.
  
• (Syringe n.3) If the color variation has not occurred, fill it again syringe with 1 ml of CA 3 reagent and add stirring after each drop. When the solution changes color from purple to blue, read the value of the CA 3 reagent syringe and insert it in the field below.
